The US Magnet Development Program (USMDP) is a High Energy Physics-oriented multi-laboratory program, headquartered at LBNL, that aggressively pursues the development of superconducting accelerator magnets that operate as closely as possible to the fundamental limits.
The Superconducting Magnet Program comprises the LBNL Accelerator Technology and Applied Physics Division’s R&D efforts in superconducting magnets and their components, and is related to both BCMT and USMDP.
